Hi everyone!!
I decided to start a blog, which is pretty crazy since I hardly ever read any blogs. Anyways, I am a second year law student. I survived my 1st year, which is awesome. I actually got onto law review!! I’m really excited about that and the new opportunities I may have as a result.
I didn’t go to an incredible undergraduate institution like many of my fellow students; I also don’t raise my hand every 5 seconds or act overly competitive. So I am sure people will be surprised.
I enjoyed my first year of law school. Sadly, I may have picked the wrong friends. The people “I was hanging out with got weird this summer, and basically go out without me. Yet, we had no falling out – strange indeed. Anyways, thus the reason for me being home on a Saturday night and taking the plunge to start a blog.
I just want to sort of talk about life, which right now for me revolves a lot around law school.
Law school is like high school, or so that’s what I had heard. It is sooo true. Sadly, its true. But, its like high school on drugs or something. In high school you have the “popular” people, the nerds, the band geeks, the jocks, etc. In law school you have a bunch of type A personalities. No one is really “popular” per se, and most of these people view this as their last chance to finally be “cool”. It is funny when you put all these people together.
In the end, I am hoping law school will help me find happiness. Law review will hopoefuilly be a start and enable me to get a good job. Hopefully, I will be able to help the world, and do good. I also hope to meet my future husband – no need for it to be a law student, but I am ready to find the right person. I want to have someone to come home to and to share my life with. I might sound boring, but at 23 isn’t this what we are all seeking??
I have 2 jobs this summer.. crazy. So, at least when I am not going on the weekends I don’t mope too much,, I just do work. I am just not in the mood to work tonight, although I really need to. Oh well.. alas.
